All of our riders had a great time at the 2016 AHJA Year End Show at Brownland Farm! I am so proud of our little show team and look forward to seeing these girls progress as our team grows!
May 15-17, 2015:
Molly traveled to Poplar Place Farm for her first USDF recognized show with Rio's Ballerina W. They came home with good placings and scores at Training and First Level. They recieved a 68% and 66% in Traning Level Test 3. Also, they recieved a 62% and 64% in First Level Test 3. This earned Molly her first two scores toward her USDF Bronze Medal and Ballerina one score towards Regionals. Not too bad for some Rookies! We look forward to the next one!
March 28, 2015:
Birmingham Dressage and Combined Training Association hosted a lovely Spring Dressage show at our farm. The weather was chilly but everyone was in good spirits! Our riders, Rosie and Emily took on the challenge of competing in their first dressage tests and did wonderful! Rosie recieved a first and fourth place in her Intro A classes. Emily won two firsts in Training Level 1 and Beginer Novice Test A! Molly and Rio's Ballerina W were 2nd in their Training Level 1 test and were 1st with a score of 68% in Training Level 2! It was a great opportunity for our hunter girls to get some cross training in and a stress free first show for our up and coming Dressage horse, Ballerina!
Thank you BDCTA for a wonderful day!
October 11, 2014: Our Holsteiner colt, Brio recieved Premium status at the AHHA Inspections at Rising Star Farm in Georgia. His dam, Ballerina was approved as well and recieved premium scores. Brio is by Cabardino out of Rio's Ballerina W (Rio Grande). We are very excited to see this boy grow up. He and his mom have bright futures ahead!
This past Saturday, October 18, 2014, we welcomed the Birmingham Dressage and Combined Training Association to our farm for a clinic with the respected trainer, Bryan Tweed. Molly rode her mare Rio's Ballerina W and recieved wonderful advice on how to keep both she and Ballerina relaxed in all aspects of their training. Thank you BDCTA for this opportunity. They were a lovely group to work with. Click the picture on this post to visit the BDCTA website. If you are looking to show and/or learn more about dressage in the Birmingham area, consider applying for membership for 2015!
December 2013: Introducing our newest addition to the Falcon Hill Farm family! Rio's Ballerina W is a 17 hand Hanoverian mare by the 1996 Olympic qualifier, Rio Grande. She is currently in foal to the stunning high performance hunter, Cabardino. We are very excited about this foal and Ballerina as well!
